AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a deadly stabbing that took place late Sunday night near the Village West Shopping Center on Washington Road, close to the Helms College campus. Deputies were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:09 p.m. on October 13 following reports of an unresponsive individual. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials found 30-year-old Martin Louis Gordon of Grovetown suffering from at least one stab wound. Despite the swift response of emergency personnel, Gordon was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Kenneth Boose at 11:35 p.m.
