Deadly Shooting Under Investigation in Rural Donna, Texas; Two Found Dead on Sites Road
Donna, TX – October 15, 2025 — A quiet rural neighborhood in Hidalgo County was shaken by violence late Tuesday night after a deadly shooting left two people dead in the outskirts of Donna. Sheriff’s deputies with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office have launched a homicide investigation after an adult male and an adult female were found fatally shot at a residence in the 1200 block of Sites Road.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 9:00 PM following multiple reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the two victims lying unresponsive near the property. Paramedics were dispatched, but both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds.
The names of the victims have not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin. Investigators have not confirmed the nature of the relationship between the two deceased individuals, nor have they publicly identified any suspects.

Upon arrival, they located two deceased individuals — an adult male and adult female — with gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing. More information will be released as it becomes available.”
Sheriff Eddie Guerra has not yet held a press conference but has assured the public that there is no immediate danger to the community.
“No suspects are currently in custody,” said HCSO spokesperson Sgt. Maria Castillo. “However, our investigators are working tirelessly to piece together the sequence of events. We are following leads and encourage anyone with information to come forward.”
