According to authorities, the collision occurred around 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Sheppard Avenue West and Bathurst Street. Lillian and her husband, John Moran, were returning home on their electric scooters after visiting a close friend. As they were making their way through the intersection, an unidentified vehicle reportedly ran a red light, striking Lillian with fatal force and fleeing the scene.
Emergency responders arrived within minutes, but despite their best efforts, Lillian was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, John, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene, but was left emotionally devastated by the loss of his beloved partner.
