POLICE INVESTIGATING TRIPLE MURDER IN MONROE; ALL THREE SHOT IN THE HEAD
MONROE, October 28, 2025 — Monroe authorities are investigating a shocking triple homicide that occurred early Tuesday morning in a residential neighborhood near the city’s public works department. The incident, which left three people dead, has shaken the local community.
According to Monroe Police Department officials, the victims were discovered at approximately 2:30 a.m. at a home on Grammont Street. Each of the three individuals suffered gunshot wounds to the head. The deceased have been identified as 26-year-old Jaborris Simpson, 2-year-old Jhersi Simpson, and Jamal Bosley, another adult male.
Police have not released any information regarding potential suspects or motives at this time. Investigators are actively pursuing leads and working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the killings. Authorities have described the crime as “particularly tragic” due to the involvement of a young child.
A news conference held Tuesday afternoon included Mayor Friday Ellis, Police Chief Victor Zordan, and several city officials, who called for community support and prayers as law enforcement continues its investigation. Mayor Ellis described the event as “a heartbreaking tragedy for Monroe and our community” and emphasized the city’s commitment to finding those responsible.
Officials have encouraged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Monroe Police Department immediately. “No piece of information is too small,” Chief Zordan said. “We urge anyone who may have seen or heard anything around the time of this crime to come forward.”
