Gunman Opens Fire at Tacoma’s Allenmore Hospital ER — One Dead, One Injured, Suspect at Large

TACOMA, WA – August 6, 2025 | 7:05 PM PT

A horrifying scene erupted this evening outside the Emergency Room entrance of MultiCare Allenmore Hospital. At approximately 7:05 PM, emergency services received multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire at the ER entrance. Moments later, responders confirmed that a man had been fatally shot, while a woman was wounded and is currently in stable condition

According to preliminary statements from Tacoma Police and local media reports, an altercation involving the suspect and the male victim began outside the hospital. The suspect then pursued the victim into the ER lobby, where the fatal shooting took place  As of 8:00 PM PDT, authorities confirm no suspect is in custody, and access to Allenmore Hospital has been restricted, with no further visitors allowed until the situation is fully assessed
